Our Story

Yoga rooted in real child development

I'm Emina, a child development specialist, certified yoga instructor, and mother. Growing up as a Bosnian refugee, I learned early what resilience really means and how movement and stillness can be anchors when the world feels uncertain.

Today I bring that understanding into every class, every session, every page of my book. Little Roots Yoga is not just poses and breathing games. It is grounded in developmental science, designed to support the whole child at each stage of growth.

The Book

Nurturing Young Minds & Bodies: A Guide to Yoga for Child Development

Part developmental science, part practical guide, part love letter to the children who teach us how to be present. This book bridges what research tells us about child development with what yoga has always known about the body.

Each chapter focuses on a specific stage of childhood, from ages 1 to 3, 4 to 6, 7 to 9, and 10 to 12, so the guidance actually meets your child where they are right now.
